Facebook - Creative X, Product Designer (July 2021 to Present)

On a global creative team building brands, content and experiences for the Facebook company, Facebook app, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp.

MongoDB, Product Designer (March 2019 to July 2021)

Responsible for the navigational, identity, access, and billing systems that comprise MongoDB Cloud and Ops Manager for millions of active users. Designed new payment experiences to increase revenue growth by 30% and shipped improvements to reduce cost-related support tickets by 50%. Introduced new features on login, registration, and account pages for 55k+ new registrations every week. Spearheaded a marketing recruitment initiative.

Frog Design, Interaction Design Intern (February to March 2019)

Worked as a contributor for a financially-focused client on an interdisciplinary team comprised of other designers, project management, and brand strategists. Specified information architecture and user interfaces using participatory and iterative design techniques. Produced ecosystem diagrams, customer journey maps, wireframes, annotations, and prototypes.

Wish, Product Design Intern (August to December 2018)

Designed splash page, sign-up workflow, and product recommendation experience for launch of the Fulfillment By Wish (FBW) program, leading to $34 mil+ in related GMV and 1.8 mil+ FBW orders to-date. Produced illustrations, icons, and banners for merchant-facing features. Defined and built new components for the design system and platform in React and Redux.

BuzzFeed, Product Design Intern (June to August 2018)

Directed the addition of nutrition info and a new video-binging experience on Tasty platforms: led a design sprint, conducted research studies with users across the country, made data-driven stylistic decisions, and created interactive prototypes.Presented updates and provided feedback on other ongoing projects in critiques twice a week. Partnered with PMs and data scientists to formulate strategic roadmaps.

DoorDash & Kleiner Perkins Fellowship Program, Software Engineering Intern Intern (May to August 2017)

Selected as one of 57 Engineering Fellows from 2,500+ applicants. Conceptualized entire user experience for DoorDash for Business initiative as lead designer/SWE intern and implemented such redesigns in the cross-platform application. Authored a 30 page design document that explained usability problems with the old user interface/experience, goals the redesign intended to fulfill, justifications for my design decisions, and iterations of possible solutions. Built user-facing web features in JavaScript with React.js and Redux for the consumer application.

Apple, iOS Engineering Intern (May to August 2016)

Developed an iOS application that intelligently detects anomalies from pre-processed data stored on the device to provide a more intelligent, intuitive procedure of internally filing bugs. Wrote XCTests to ensure that elements of the Core Location framework in Swift 3.0 were ready to showcase at Apple’s 2016 Worldwide Developers Conference. Presented my project to the Vice President of Wireless Technologies.

The Goat Farm Arts Center, Design and Developer Intern (January to May 2016)

Designed user interface elements, developed screen mock-ups, and created wireframes for new, cross-platform features on “The Knowd” application using Sketch and Adobe Illustrator. Implemented front-end styling and back-end functionality from prototype designs utilizing Sass and React.js technologies on both web and mobile. Constructed a digital guide for newly onboarded users to navigate the application.

Microsoft, Explorer Intern (May to August 2015)

Improved the user interface of the (AMC) homepage by designing, prototyping, coding, testing, deploying, and monitoring JavaScript animations on the AMC portal, which yields 25 million views per day. Composed program management and engineering specifications highlighting goals, design guidelines, key performance indicators, flighting and telemetry decisions, and architectural overviews on technical features within the Universal Store.
